BxD is an independently owned one-stop shop for custom, digitally printed, corrugated packaging located in Concord, North Carolina. After 15 years in the high-graphic packaging space, the leaders at Complete Design & Packaging imagined a new way to bring custom packaging to the masses and BxD was born! Today, BxD uses top-of-the-line digital print technology to empower people and companies to grow their brand with custom packaging.

Meet Our Digital Technology!
EFI Nozomi C18000

Our EFI Nozomi C18000, installed in 2017, was the first of its kind in the United States. It has allowed us to grow our market with cost-effective, high-quality, direct-to-board printing. The C18000 takes custom packaging to the next level by being able to print photographic images, match 97% of the Pantone gamut, and even create color gradients. Additionally, the LED curing technology reduces power consumption and eliminates the use of water for cleaning. Nozomi inks meet OCC certification for recyclability and re-pulpability. They also meet the GREENGUARD Gold Standard with no hazardous volatile organic compounds, and they do not require vapor recovery. Nozomi printers are also recognized as the most energy-efficient based on the ISO 20690 energy standard.

EFI Nozomi 14000 LED

Installed at BxD in 2022, the Nozomi 14000 LED is EFI’s second generation of digital corrugated printers. With a smaller belt size, but the addition of in-line overprint varnish, we can decrease waste where it makes sense and increase overall capacity. Additionally, EFI’s proprietary Fiery software keeps jobs organized and quality top notch. The Nozomi 14000 LED also uses 35% less energy than flexographic printing, has virtually no VOC emissions, and has fully recyclable and repulpable inks.

Kongsberg – Precision Cutting Systems

Our fleet of 5 Kongsberg cutting tables finishes orders with accuracy, consistency, and efficiency. Installed over the course of several years, each table has its own automatic feed table, automation system, and camera system to ensure error free cutting. The Kongsberg brand is engineered specifically for corrugated packaging and displays, but utilizes aerospace technology to deliver top of the line results. BxD’s use of custom-sized corrugated sheets also ensures that little waste results from our choice of finishing system.
